Nazis Today

Hardline Nationalists and Extremists Today

A New Nazi Movement

Yesterday, a new formation, called Identity, Tradition, Sovereignty (ITS)signed up as a formal political group in the Strasbourg Parliament, and they are now entitled to up to one million Euros in central funding. The leader of that group strategically denies the Holocaust took place. Assertions the ITS is making include:

o      Attacks on the “Jewish Establishment” They bring out the old accusations Hitler made before them

o      Accusations of the Roma – They accuse the Gypsy population of Europe of selling their 12-year-olds into prostitution

o      References to Other Non-Aryan WarsLike the second Balkan war, where they point out the “atrocities the Turkish army perpetuated on innocent civilians”

The Importance of Personal Testimony

In the light of such xenophobia the testimony of the aging survivors of the Holocaust becomes even more important. Pretty soon, these survivors, like Margot Edel, will be gone, and their testimony will be gone with them.

In the light of such happenings it is imperative that we bring the survival stories of Holocaust sufferers, like Margot, to the public. Their grandchildren and subsequent generations need to know what really happened.

Read about Margot Edel’s fear for her life and the measures she had to take to survive on Germanwriter.com. Margot’s life was torn apart, but at least she survived. She still lives today, because:

o      She Was Abandoned by Her Home and Family – Her parent’s had no way of contacting her, and they kept her Aryan sister safe by not telling her where Margot was

o      She Hid From her Former Fiancé – He might have reported her to the Nazis.

o      She Lived in Constant Danger – Still a teenager, she left her home and everything she knew and signed up with the circus, hoping for a bit of safety

o      She Lost Everything but Her Life – The Nazis confiscated the inheritance her father left her when he died

o      Even After the War, the Consequences of the Holocaust Haunted Her – Bitterly poor, with six children in a caravan home she did her best to raise her children to become responsible adults.

The Aftermath

Today’s Holocaust survivors still carry the deep seated burden of low self-esteem and the unspoken and unexamined conviction of their unworthiness that the Nazi government installed in them. In Margot’s case, she:

    1. Does not Talk Much About Her Past She says people look at her funny when she mentions the Nazi persecution, and even some of her children tell her to leave well enough alone

    2. Is Still Seeking Justification Margot sometimes still wonders what she did wrong to have had such a hard life

    3. Just Now is Finding Her Way Back to GodHer loss of faith was but a part of the emotional anguish she went through, and she didn’t even have to face the concentration camps!

In light of what happened, and with the Holocaust survivors still with us to give testimony, let’s not forget the truth of these atrocities!
