Book Signings for A Cup of Comfort for Grandparents

Sonja Herbert and two other authors, together with the editor of the book,
Colleen Sell, will appear in these stores at these times for book signings and the reading of her story:

Sunday, November 5    2:00 PM
Borders
687 NW 12th Street
Gresham Station
Gresham, OR 97030

In spite of the torrential rain that Sunday, all three authors and the book's editor, Colleen Sell showed up. A small group of interested people was delighted to hear the authors read their stories, and afterward sign their books. The authors got to know each other a little better, and the store personnell were very friendly and accomodating.

Monday, November 6    7:00 PM
Borders
811 S.E. 160th Avenue
Vancouver, WA 98683

In Vancouver, too, the book signing was held while the rain came down so heavy that even traffic came to a standstill. Sonja made it just in time for the reading and signing. Several relatives of the authors attended, including Sonja's step son and his family. Again, the authors read their stories and signed several store books, besdies the books the attendees bought.

Saturday, November 11    2:00 PM
Borders
2605 S. W. Cedar Hills Blvd.
Beaverton, OR 97005

The Beaverton signing was held during the middle of the day, with sunshine outside. The store had to bring more chairs several times, because of the crowds. Many people attended, amongst them children, relatives, and friends of the writers. As a special treat, another author read her story from A Cup of Comfort for Christmas, and again the authors signed many books for the people who attendend and also for the store.

Two of Sonja's children were present, and there were tears in many eyes when she read the story about Daniel and his Grandmother.

Saturday, November 18    2:00 PM
Borders
777 NW Ninth St.
Corvallis, OR 97330

Daniel and his girlfriend Erika were present at this book signing. In spite of the bad weather we had a good turnout, and everybody enjoyed listening to the authors reading their stories.
